Hi, I’m Tim!
Founder of LePipe bicycle, and we help people take their bicycles up a notch with our handcrafted leather accessories.
I always wanted a stylish bicycle, admiring the look of classic Dutch-style bikes even before I knew what they were called. My solution: put a skirt guard on a regular bicycle to get a similar look. At First, I looked all over the internet to find a skirt guard I could attach to my road bike, but didn’t come up with anything I could use. I then decided that if I couldn’t find anything, I would MAKE IT.
Using my grandfather’s antique leather sewing machine, I set about making it happen. Learning how to sew and work with leather … prototypes …got better, and people started noticing my bicycle. They started asking where they could get their own skirt guard and that’s how LePipe Bicycle was born. Today we work with skilled leather artisans and apprentices to handcraft our beautiful small-run pieces.
